Tante Lisi was a big part of my childhood; my mom’s older sister, she was like my second mom.
What I remember about her, is her generosity: her generosity of spirit, her generosity of patience towards a city girl visiting the farm, her generosity of good humor, her generosity of laughter, her generosity of fellowship, her generosity of knowledge, teaching me how to do things - whether feeding the chickens, or making cookies.
But most of all I remember her love: unjudgemental, unconditional, all encompassing and unwavering.
Tante Lisi, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for being you, thank you for being in my life.
