Obituary of Alexander Richard Trethewey

TRETHEWEY: Peacefully, at Queensway Nursing Home, Hensall, Monday April 3, 2006, Alexander Richard Trethewey, age 87, formerly of Dashwood and RR 5, Stratford. Beloved husband of Elva Ida (Baker) (Francis) Trethewey of Queensway Retirement Home. Dear brother of Charles and Helen Trethewey, George and Thelma Trethewey, all of Stratford and John Trethewey of London. Remembered by Elva’s children David and Michelle Francis, Sally and John Turner and his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by parents Ernest and Agnes (Packert) Trethewey, sister Anna Strachan and her husband Roy, brother Robert “Bob” Trethewey and his wife Enid, sister-in-law Jacqueline Trethewey and Elva’s sister Cecile Cummer. At Richard’s request, cremation will take place and a Service of Remembrance will be announced at a later date. Interment at Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. If desired, memorial donations to Queensway Nursing Home or a charity of choice would be appreciated. Richard was a member of the Loyal Orange Lodge No. 313, Harmony, Ontario, farmed north of Sebringville and worked in the C.N.R. shops Stratford. T.
