Obituary of Betty Jean Hales
HALES: Unexpectedly but peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, Thursday, February 23, 2006, Betty Jean (Mars) Hales of Grand Cove Estates, Grand Bend, formerly of London, age 78. Loved mother of Sue and Dan Sageman of Grand Bend, Nancy and Phil Campagna of Dartmouth, N.S., Tom and Diane Hales of Forest, Beckie and Rick Pruder of Komoka. Loving Grammie of Dan and Erin Sageman, Chris Sageman and fiance Raffi Mazmanian, Peter and Darla Smolders, Lisa and Jeff Rondeau, Sarah Hales, Steven Hales, Jennifer Pruder, Lauren Pruder and Great-grandma “G.G.” of Madilyn and Ethan Rondeau, Adam and Clayton Sageman. Dear sister of Jack and June Mars of Paris, Nan MacDonald of Brantford, Margaret and Ian Robinson of London. Also lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her sister Norma Howell and beloved companion John Hackett. Margaret, Norma and Betty were well known in Brantford as the “Mars Triplets”. Betty was a proud and longtime member of the London Chapter of Sweet Adelines and retired from the City of London Tourism and Convention Bureau. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Saturday 2 to 4 p.m. and Sunday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 27, 2006 at 11 a.m. Interment Pinery Cemetery, Grand Bend. If desired, memorial donations to the Diabetes Association, Saint Elizabeth Health Care or charity of choice would be appreciated.
