Obituary of Melvin Elison Peariso

PEARISO: Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at Macassa Lodge, Hamilton, Monday, September 5, 2005, Melvin Elison Peariso of Hamilton, formerly of Port Elgin and Grand Bend, age 89. Beloved husband of the late Olive (Walper) Peariso (1976). Loved father and father-in-law of Ruthann Peariso and her husband Jon Lazarowich of Hamilton, Gord and Marilyn Peariso of Calgary. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by step-sisters Nora Thomas, Lilly Becker and brother-in-law Harvey Walper. Predeceased by sister Irene and her husband Earl Thompson and step-brother Wilber Webb. Mr. Peariso is resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Thursday, September 8, 2005, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 7 p.m. Tracey Whitson-Bahro officiating. Private family interment Grand Bend Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Tolmie Memorial Presbyterian Church, Port Elgin would be appreciated. Mel and his wife operated Mel and Olive’s Variety Store in Grand Bend for many years.
