Obituary of William Baltessen
BALTESSEN: Peacefully, with family by his side, at London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus, Tuesday, May 18, 2004, William “Bill” Baltessen,78, of RR 2, Grand Bend. Beloved husband of Bertha (Van Stiphout) Baltessen for 54 years. Dear father of Angela Stewart and friend Ken Blackmon of Durham, Mary Baltessen and friend Doug Ross of RR 2, Wingham, Betty Baltessen, Hank and Annie Baltessen, Lambert and Nelly Baltessen, all of RR 2,Grand Bend, John and Janet Baltessen of RR 3, Parkhill, Theresa and Eddy Wouters of RR 6, Forest and William and Tracey Baltessen of RR 2, Grand Bend. Loving grandfather of 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by daughter Antoinette “Annie” Baltessen (1979). Also survived by one sister and five brothers in Holland. Predeceased by one brother and one sister in Holland. Remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Thursday afternoon and evening. Parish prayers at the funeral home Thursday at 8 p.m., followed by Order of Alhambra prayers at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Grand Bend, Friday, May 21, 2004 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Father John Kulathinkal C.S.T. celebrant. Interment Pinery Cemetery, Grand Bend. Bill was a lifetime member of the Order of Alhambra. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Grand Bend Alhambra Caravan #168 would be appreciated.
