Obituary of Joseph B. McCann

McCANN: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, Thursday, March 4, 2004, Joseph B. “Joe” McCann of Crediton, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Lillian M. “Sis” (Clarke) McCann. Loved father of Ruth Galloway and her husband Bob of Stratford. Loving grandpa of Dan and Monika Galloway, Deb and Larry Nesbitt, Kim and Ken Nutt, Jeff and Shirley Galloway, Jodi and Mike Hillman, also loved by 13 great-grandchildren. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Clem and Joan McCann, Leona Glavin, Don Hartman, Evelyn Hutchinson, Marie Dinney, Russell Clarke, Howard and Jean Clarke, Donna Clarke, Shirley Clarke and Marg Clarke. Remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by great-granddaughter Kari Nutt, sisters Eileen Gelinas, Evelyn McKeever, Alice Hartman, parents Benjamin and Emma (Hoffman) McCann. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Friday afternoon and evening. Prayers at the Funeral Home, Friday at 3:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Mount Carmel, Saturday, March 6 , 2004, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Father Callistus St. Louis celebrant. Interment Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery.
