Obituary of Michael John Lightfoot

LIGHTFOOT: “He turned in his Battle Gear for Angel Wings”. Peacefully, at London Health Sciences Centre, South St. Campus, Saturday, February 21, 2004, Michael John “Mike” Lightfoot of R. R. #3, Dashwood (Mount Carmel) in his 35th year. Beloved husband of Kristyn Darling. Loving father of Todd and Taylar Lightfoot. Loved son of Doug and Phyllis Lightfoot of R. R. #1, Crediton, son-in-law of Pat Darling of Mount Carmel and grandson of Anne Field of Windsor. Dear brother of Steve Lightfoot of Crediton and brother-in-law of Mark and Deborah Darling of Grand Bend, Scott and Gaby Darling of Mount Carmel, Leigh-Anne and Jim Fevery of Centralia, Brad and Barb Darling of London, Cam Darling and companion Sandra Martin of Exeter. Remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation on Tuesday from 5 p.m to 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Zion United Church, Crediton, Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Grant Darling officiating. Interment Crediton Cemetery. Mike fought an amazing battle against Leukemia and was an inspiration to so many. If desired, memorial donations to the “Trust Fund” for Todd and Taylar , London Regional Cancer Centre or charity of choice would be appreciated.
