Obituary of Katharine E. Becker

BECKER: Peacefully at Stratford General Hospital, on Sunday, May 20, 2001, Katharine E. (Fraser) Becker of Dashwood, in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late Emil M. Becker (1999). Loved mother of Alex and Doreen Becker, Joan and Frank Leishman all of Dashwood, Eugene Becker and Mary Laye of R. R. #3, Dashwood, Anne and Terry Sweiger of R. R. #3, Wingham, Peter and Sandy Becker of R. R. #1, Grand Bend. Loving grandma of Andrea and Mark, Derrick and Heather, Travis and Melissa, Tracey and Greg, Cameron, Shannan, Ian, Shawn and great-grandma of Mackenzie, Foster and Conner. Dear sister-in-law of Hilda and Clarence Kimpel of Kitchener. Loved by her nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by brothers Keith and Tom Fraser, sister Eleanor Simpson. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Monday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Dashwood , on Tuesday, May 22, 2001 at 11 a.m. The Rev. John E. Trembulak III officiating. Interment Zion Lutheran Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Zion Lutheran Church or charity of choice would be appreciated. Katharine was a retired elementary school teacher who taught for over forty years, active in the Dashwood Women’s Institute, and Secretary of the Dashwood and Area Medical Centre Board.
