Obituary of Robert James McGall

McGALL: Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at St. Joseph’s Health Care, London, on Wednesday, August 30, 2000, Robert “Bob” James McGall, of Grand Cove Estates, Grand Bend, formerly of Belleville, in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Edith Georgina (Murray) McGall. Dear father of Carolyn Keirstead of Waterloo, Donna and Steven Shanks of Courtice, Robert and Jane McGall of Hagersville, Bill and Sue McGall of Brockville. Loving grandfather of David, Darryl and Christopher Keirstead, Robert, Brian and Brent Shanks, Kevin, Scott, Sarah and Diane McGall, Cassandra and Tyler McGall. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Betty and Bill Walker of Vancouver, B.C. and Flora Mason of Montreal, Quebec. Loved by his nieces, nephews and their families. A Memorial Service will be held at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood (519-237-3532) on Saturday, September 2, 2000 at 11 a.m. Mrs. Irene Richardson officiating. A reception for family and friends will be held at the Grand Cove Estates Club House following the service. If desired, memorial donations to the Arthritis Society or charity of choice would be appreciated. Mr. McGall retired from Mircacle Food Mart (Steinberg’s) after 37 years as Store Manager with the last 17 years in Belleville at the Quinte Mall. Bob enjoyed his years at Grand Cove Estates and had served as President of the Association and remained active in many Cove activities. “We love you and will miss you, Dad.”
