RATZ: Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Friday, April 28, 2000, Ervin Albert Ratz of R. R. #3, Dashwood, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Nola E. (Isaac) Ratz. Loved father of Larry and Barbara Ratz of R. R. #2, Crediton and the late Glen William Ratz (1970). Loving grandpa of Tracy and Jack Merkley and Trevor Ratz; great-grandpa of Parker Merkley. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Dorothy Jones of Exeter, Gertrude Ratz of London, Olive Ratz of R. R. #2, Dashwood, Doris and James Eagleson of R. R. #3, Parkhill and Shirley Eagleson of Grand Bend. Loved by his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his brother Earl Ratz (1999), parents William and Lavina (Fahner) Ratz. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Saturday afternoon and evening. The Funeral Service will be held at Zion United Church, Crediton, on Sunday, April 30, 2000 at 2 p.m. Mr. John Patterson of Stratford officating. Interment Crediton Cemetery.
