Obituary of Mary Catherine Zwambag
ZWAMBAG: Peacefully, with her husband by her side, at her residence, on Tuesday February 18, 2014, Mareen Catherine (Gubbels) Zwambag of RR 2 Crediton, after an 8 year battle with breast cancer, age 58. Dear wife, best friend and life-long farming partner of Tony Zwambag. Most cherished mother of Annette and Dan McLean of London, Teresa and Marc Emond of Ridgeway, David and Meaghan Zwambag of Dorchester. Loving Gramma of Caitlin and Blake McLean and Emma Emond. Beloved daughter and daughter-in-law of Nellie and the late Gerard Gubbels of Delaware, Henry and Annie Zwambag of Glencoe. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Peter and Alice Gubbels of Ghana, John Gubbels and Frances Gubbels of London, Gerard and Diane Gubbels of Delaware, Mario and Sue Gubbels of Watford, Patrick and Shirley Gubbels of Mount Brydges, Ben and Michelle Gubbels of Dorchester, Anita Gubbels and Alan Adamson of Winnipeg, Bill and Mary Anne Zwambag of Glencoe, Glenda Zwambag of Texas, Margo and Jim Cowie of Caledonia, Henry Zwambag and Nancy Sauder of Kitchener, Ed and Valerie Zwambag of Alberta, Gerald and Anja Zwambag of Glencoe, Joe and Mary Catherine Zwambag of Smithville and Rosanne and George Ryan of Newmarket. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood on Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. with parish and family prayers being offered at 4 p.m. on Friday. The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Mount Carmel on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Fr. Len Desjardins Celebrant. Interment Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or the London Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
