Obituary of Iris May Parker
PARKER: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Iris May (Warnock) Parker, Sunday, June 9, 2013, in her 95th year at her daughter’s home in Toronto, after a long battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late Walter Parker (April 4, 1970) of Sutton Surrey, England. Predeceased by her mother Maggie (Murray) and father Linnaeus Warnock, her brothers Frank, Stanley and Norman “Pete”. Cherished mother of Gail Parker and sister of Evelyn Faubert of Hamilton. Loved grandmother of Jennifer Faubert of California, Michelle Rothman and great-grandmother of Edy, both of Ottawa, nieces Norma (Harold) Jeffery of Goderich and Joan Milner of Clinton. Iris was a native of Goderich, but moved with her family to Mississauga in the 1950’s where she worked as an administrative assistant in human resources until her retirement at 72. Grand Bend became her new home where she made many new friends and became an avid golfer. Cremation has taken place with interment in Maitland Cemetery, Goderich, at a later date.
