Obituary of Jean Elizabeth Cassidy

JEAN ELIZABETH CASSIDY: May 14, 1912 – April 13, 2013 Jean Elizabeth (Ritchie) Cassidy, formerly of Montreal, Lakeside Heights, QC. and Grand Bend, died peacefully at the Exeter Villa in Exeter, ON. on April 13, 2013. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Fred (1966). Jean is survived by her son Clifford (Alicia); grandsons, Taylor (Karen) and Myles (Dulce); great-granddaughters, Melissa, Samantha and Kristen; nieces, Jean Busch, Mary Busch and Maggie Fry and nephew, Trevor (Bonnie) Constable. Jean was a tireless and effective supporter of her friends and neighbours in Grand Cove Estates, Grand Bend, where she lived for the last 35 years. Jean will also be sorely missed by the members of Grand Bend United Church and her friends from Lakeside Heights in Montreal. The Cassidy family expresses their extreme gratitude to the people of the Exeter Villa Nursing Home for the remarkable care and love they provided Jean while she was under their wings. Thanks also to Dr. O’Connor for his care and good counsel. Cremation has taken place. It was Jean’s desire to be reunited with her great love Fred, so, she will be interred by his side at the Royal Canadian Legion Field of Honour in Montreal. A Celebration of Jean’s life will be held at the Grand Bend United Church, on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Jean would be pleased to have you support the Grand Bend United Church renovation project.
