Obituary of Dorothy Margaret Peat
PEAT: Peacefully, at Stratford General Hospital, Sunday, April 8, 2012, Dorothy Margaret (Dickey) Peat, of Oakwood Links, Grand Bend, age 64. Beloved wife of the late W. Bruce Peat (2003). Loved mother of Dan Morley of Grand Bend, Shari and Rick Roberts of Burlington, David and Carol Peat of Owen Sound, Leslie Peat and Barry Malpage of London. Proud grandmother of Lexis and Jordon Morley, Brooklyn Roberts, Logan Peat and Spencer Malpage. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Joyce and Don Masnica of Sebright, Sandra and John Ulch of Kirkton, Donna and Fred Brock of Kitchener, Rob and Julie Dickey of Exeter, Clayton Brock of Elora and Arn Westelaken of Camlachie. Remembered by her nieces, nephews, their families and many friends. Predeceased by her sisters Mary Brock, Judy Westelaken, parents William “Pat” and Laura (Ford) Dickey. At Dorothy’s request, cremation will take place with a private family interment at Exeter Cemetery. Dorothy was an active member of the Grand Bend Rotary Club, Grand Bend Cruising Club, active supporter of the Grand Bend Nursery School and community. She was an avid golfer, loved to travel and was an accomplished interior designer and decorator. Dorothy touched the lives of many people with her kindness and generosity. A Celebration of Dorothy’s life was held in the Terrace Room at the Oakwood Inn Resort and Golf, Grand Bend, on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. Mr. Bob Heywood officiated.
