My sincere condolences to Reg and his family
I was honoured to have spent time with shirley, over the past eight months of my retirement. Our visits were filled with joy, whethor
enjoying outdoor strolls in the summer months, watching the birds, and beautiful scenery, or listening to relaxing music, or shirley,s favorite tunes. Shirley had a wonderful sense of humor, she loved being around people and she would often laugh at jokes told to her by fellow residents. Shirley was fortunate to celebrate her 60th wedding anniversary with a beautiful cake, in the summer, as well as celebrating her 89th birthday December 25th. Rest in peace my friend, it was truly a pleasure to know you.

Shirley was a wonderful friend. Ron and I had many good times with her and Reg over the years. I was saddened to hear of her passing but I have many lovely memories that I will treasure. My thoughts and condolences are with Reg and the family. Love, Donna Burden

Mr. And Mrs. Horner were like second family to us when my brothers and I grew up. So many years of summer fun at Sand Bay celebrating Canada Day each year. Shirley, welcomed anyone and everyone to her camp and made you feel like family. If you knew how to clog or play an instrument you were on the top of her list. It’s been 25 years since I have seen you last and our memories are still as vivid as it happened yesterday. You were loved and will be missed by all. Thank you for always treating us like your own. May you forever rest in peace Mrs. Horner.
