Obituary of Gertrud Chester

CHESTER: Suddenly, at Stratford General Hospital, Stratford, on Saturday, May 27, 2023, Gertrud “Gerri” (Grabatin) (Snively) Chester of Grand Bend and formerly of Kitchener, age 76. Beloved wife of the late David John “Dave” Chester (2020). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Charles “Chuck” Snively of Grand Bend, Tammy Snively of Kitchener, Deborah Snively of Nova Scotia John and Sharon Chester of Embrun and Paul Chester of USA.  Dearly loved daughter-in-law of Ivy (McGregor) Chester of Cambridge and the late Ernie Chester. Lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Richard and Sandra Grabatin of St. Catharines, Irene Saunders of Thorold and Donald and Yvonne Chester of Cambridge.  Predeceased by her parents Oswald and Magdelina (Milliche) Grabatin.  At the request of Gerri and her family, cremation will take place and no formal services will be held.  Memorial donations (payable direct to charity) to the Canadian Mental Health Association  or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
