To Kate and family … I had the pleasure of meeting your father once for a short time … it was wonderful that you had him here in Mount Forest even if it was for such a short time … my thoughts are with you as you go through this time of sorrow ❤️

Hello my name is Kate I am David daughter .
Things about my dad I will miss ,he was a funny ,fun, caring, sweet ,great person helpful and could talk to just about anyone
My dad work as a police men in England before coming to Cananda with mom and there 2 boys Ian and Andy .after some years I came alone
Then he started working for metro Toronto police where he stayed for 20 years and retired.
My dad was a hard working man he loved his gardens He loved helping people , Taking photos videos and all that I'm making my brother and I sit and watch them on their trips around the States and so glad that they got to do that together.
And most of all he was a caring father.
I will sadly miss my father I'm glad that he moved to mount forest to be closer to me for the last 8 months after the passing of my mum 14 month before..
In the short time that he was here he started to make friends as I walk his dog around the block people usually say where is that tall good looking man that usually walks that dog , I have to explain my dad passed away.
Where he is now with my mother I hope they're both looking down and we all do them proud I love you daddy I miss you so so so much Thank you for being my dad love Daddys little girl

Sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was one of the nicest people I've ever known. I enjoyed working with him for many years at 23 Division and was welcomed into their home in Cheltenham on more than one occasion. I am sure his children and grandchildren will greatly miss him and can assure them he was always held in high regard by his fellow officers.
