Obituary of Dini Inthout
INTHOUT: Peacefully, at home, surrounded by her family and friends, on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, Bernardina “Dini” (Meringa) Inthout, of Greenway, age 86. Beloved wife of the late Cornelius “Case” Inthout (2010). Dear mother and mother-in-law Zelda Woods and Harry Inthout (Lorrie). Special “Mum” of Ria Huls (Wubbe) and Will and Jackee Slim. Cherished Oma of Margreet, Jan, Suzy, Aaron, Deanna and Emma Jane (Sean), four great-grandchildren and one on the way. Special “human” to her dog Gidget. Dini is survived by 1 sister and 2 brothers and their families in Holland. Predeceased by a son-in-law and one brother. Born in Exloo, Drenthe, The Netherlands on July 3, 1934, to Albert and Zwaantina (Vredeveld) Meringa. Dini came to Canada in 1956 and married Case. They lived in the Petrolia, Grand Bend, Dashwood and Aylmer areas. She was an avid gardener, skilled artist, creative genius in needlework and quilting. All tree farms and garden centres that are in existence in Southwestern Ontario (and beyond) were frequented by Dini and Case. At Dini’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of her Life will take place in May 2021 when the tulips are in bloom, her favourite time of the year. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood.
