Obituary of Paula Jacoba Van Osch
VAN OSCH: Unexpectedly, at London Health Sciences Centre – University Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family, on Thursday, September 14, 2017, Paulina “Paula” Jacoba (Pubben) Van Osch of Grand Bend (RR 1, Dashwood), formerly of RR 2, Crediton, age 87. Beloved wife of the late Harry Van Osch (2006). Loved mother of Elizabeth Sullivan and husband Richard Smith of Calgary, AB, Gerald and Carrie Rose Van Osch of Grand Bend, Mary Van Osch and husband John Andruschak of Vancouver, B.C., Fred and Shelley Van Osch of Grand Bend and Teresa Van Osch and partner Mylo Einarson of Winnipeg, MB. Cherished Gramma and Oma of Jacqueline and Cameron, Joseph, Kylen, Kurtis, Jaron, Nicholas, Jeremy, Paula, Kaitlin and Duncan, Skylar and fiancée Lorin, Brendon and Michelle. Treasured Great-Gramma of Vivienne and Madden. Also remembered by her step-grandchildren Tiffany, Brittany and niece Ria. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Ida and John Janssen, Ger and Truus Hesen, Sjaak Van Osch, William Van Osch, Truus and Harry Grubben all of the Netherlands. Loved by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Godfried and Marie Elisabeth (Janzen) Pubben, sisters Lies Geurts and Petranella Lips, brothers John Pubben and Theo Pubben. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Mount Carmel, Monday, September 18, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Father Len Desjardins Celebrant. Interment Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery. Harry and Paula married in Holland, April 21, 1954 and immigrated to Canada April 28, 1954 and farmed in the Crediton and Mount Carmel area for many years. They were married for over 50 years and she enjoyed 35 retirement years wintering in Port Charlotte. Paula will be remembered for her quick wit, sense of humour, kind and compassionate heart. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and more recently enjoyed close companionship with her brother-in-law Sjaak.
