GIELEN: Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, at her residence, Sunday, November 16, 2008, Johanna “Jo” Maria (Van Osch) Gielen of RR 1, Grand Bend, formerly of Crediton, age 84 Beloved wife of Harry P. Gielen for over 56 years. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Mary Ann and Bill Smith of Grande Prairie, AB., John and Kathy Gielen of Crediton, Kate and Peter Cuddy of London, Janet and Dave Willson of Calgary, AB., Pauline and Michael Slattery of London, Gerard and Lisa Gielen of Crediton, Rosemary and Jeff Rowe of London. Loved by her 19 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and their families. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Ger and Truus Hesen, William and Mia Van Osch, Jack and Mia Van Osch, Truus and Harry Grubben, all of the Netherlands and Paula Van Osch of Mount Carmel. Remembered also by the Gielen families in the Netherlands, her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her brother Harry Van Osch, sister Nellie Hesen, parents Gerardus H. and Johanna M. (Drabbels) Van Osch. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Thursday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Family, Parish and C.W.L. prayers at the Funeral Home, Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Mount Carmel, Friday, November 21, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Father Ray Lawhead Celebrant. Interment Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Mount Carmel Church Restoration Fund or charity of choice would be appreciated. Jo will be remembered for her faith, love of life and the love for her family and friends.
