Obituary of James Bruce Simpson
SIMPSON: Unexpectedly, but peacefully, at his residence, Friday, January 28, 2011, James Bruce Simpson, of Dashwood, formerly of Oakville, age 72. Beloved husband of Maura Deirdre (O=Reilly) Simpson. Loving father and father-in-law of Lisa and Steve Furlan of Port Credit and Mark Simpson of Bramalea. Remembered by Maura=s children Colleen Dunn and Alex Reeves of Oakville, Kathleen and John MacDonald of Wingham, Maureen Dunn and Chris Macdonald of Burlington. Loved grandfather of Kathryn, Michael and Andrew Furlan, Kyle Dunn, Keira Reeves, Brady and Sarah MacDonald, Aiden and Riley Macdonald. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Judy and Peter Warren of Sunderland, Shirley Blatchford of Collingwood, Brian and Bonnie O=Reilly of Varna and Aodan O=Reilly of Milton. Remembered by his mother-in-law M. Deirdre O=Reilly of Seaforth, his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Horace W. and Beulah M. (Bint) Simpson. Cremation. A Celebration of Jim's life and a spiritual blessing will be held at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, on Sunday, January 30, 2011, commencing at 1:30 p.m. Spring interment St. Peter's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Goderich. Following the celebration of life service, a time to meet, laugh and share good memories of Jim will be held at the family residence, 135 Roland Street, Dashwood. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice would be appreciated. Jim retired from Bell Canada and was an avid golfer in his retirement and marshalled at the Ironwood Golf Course in Exeter.
