Obituary of Donald Alfred Fraser
FRASER: It is with very sad hearts the family of Donald Alfred Fraser of London announce his passing on May 9, 2010, at the age of 78. Don was born December 25, 1931 in Stratford, Ontario. He passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Marguerite. Loving father to Gail, Gord (deceased), Sue, Christeena and James. Loving grandfather to twelve and great-grandfather to four. Dear brother to James (deceased) and William and their families. At Don’s request there will be no funeral service. Don asked to be donated for research and education. The University of Western Ontario has accepted him and he will now go on to teach young doctors a thing or two about medicine. There was no man prouder of his family, being a corrections officer for 30 years at EMDC or the Toronto Maple Leafs. Ask him about any of these and you were in his company for a while. Never at a loss for words or to tell a good joke he made instant friends with anyone crossing his path. Don’s funny and long-winded stories will carry on through his family. In his eyes there was no richer man than he. His zest for life, love and laughter was the greatest gift he gave to us all. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
