VAN RAAY: Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, Joanne “Annie” (DeKlerk) Van Raay, of Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich, formerly of Dashwood, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Cornelius “Case” Marie Van Raay (1998). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Cora and David Whittington of Peterborough, Adrianna and Peter Tetley of King City, Don and Darlene Van Raay of Stratford, Martin and Teresa Van Raay of Dashwood, Joanne and Peter Janzen of Canmore, AB., Teresa and Mark Van Bree of Forest and Michael Van Raay of Exeter. Cherished Oma of Helena Whittington, Janette and Jeff Stewart, Darryl and Jenn Whittington, Casey Tetley, Kimberley and Cam Coatsworth, Rhea Van Raay, Colin Van Raay, Denver Van Raay, Jessica and Ryan Starr, Dean and Kim Van Raay, Philip and Emily Van Raay, Stephanie Van Raay, Mandy and Paul Vergeer, Jamie Janzen, Kevin and Alicia Van Bree, Bryan and Christina Van Bree, Jenny and Phil Coeck. Predeceased by her daughter Bernadette Van Raay (1971), great-granddaughter Lilah Whittington (2012), sister Tonia & Wim Van Dyk and brother-in-law Kees Vernooij and several Van Raay family members. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood with visitation on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. C.W.L., Parish and family prayers will be held at 3:45 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church, Zurich on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 11 a.m. Rev. Fr. Matt George Celebrant. Interment St. Boniface Cemetery, Bronson Line, Zurich. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to Blue Water Rest Home, South Huron Hospital or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
